•Draw! •Draw! •Draw! •Draw!
• Draw ¡Draw!
Draw! DRAW!!! • Draw! DRAW!!!
scribble – scratch – scribble
…and DRAW some more,
and again….
Sharpen your pencil, Rinse and Repeat!!!
Animation is not a medium for people who slack off ! It is an art form designed for people who feed off the challenge, strive to experiment, aim for high quality work, & are intrigued by the endless possibilities that the medium can give to it’s performance.
It also is one that takes strong intent and certainty: you have to know how to draw & animate your characters in order to be able to make them believable. This all takes immense amounts of intensity, thought, intelligence, concentration, effort, commitment, artistry, draftsmanship, understanding, timing, some acting skills, suffering, & a great work ethic.

At Warner I also worked on various commercials for companies including:

I was a traditional animator doing various aspects including StoryBoarding, InBeTweening, KeyFramer, Character Designer, and finally some Assistant Animation Directing. They were awesome to me, paid great, and treated me amazing.
Between Contracts I would work on my Mural Projects and pick up freelance work doing comics and coloring books for Bugs Bunny, Looney Tunes, and Pinky & the Brain.

I was honored to be able to work with the brilliant Director Sylvain Chomet on his feature film The Triplets of Belleville (2003) and partly on The Illusionist (2010) while I worked on starting my own studio working on personal projects I’ve been wanting to pursue.
I Love to Draw?
When something looks interesting or beautiful or weird, I have a natural impulse to want to capture and preserve it, FOREVER. This means that I log the world around me in my handy dandy notebook. My version of life is rendered in pen and ink on a blank piece of paper so I can later refer to it in my upcoming projects.
So Why wouldn’t I just take a picture. Well, here’s the thing: I don’t feel that snapping a picture of something gives it the attention it deserves, it goes onto your phone in pixels and forgotten. I want to dwell on the subject, feel it, memorize every piece, notice the way it moves around, the subtile intricate details that makes it what it is. I want to be that muse, crawl into it’s skin and be able to copy it’s essence in every line I interpret it with. I am obsessive about my drawing.
There is also a psychological need to put it on paper so I won’t receive another restraining order for stalking.
As I said, I constantly draw.
I believe that in order to enhance and strengthen ones mastery as an artist it is vital to work outside the comfort zone, push the limits, and try as many different methods and mediums as possible.
I work in charcoal, graphite, ink, pastels, acrylics, oils, collage, wax, spray paint, and whatever else I can throw in.
The theme of most of my art is People. Using what I have learned from psychology, I observe and report. I look at the uniqueness of life and bring that into my art.
What do I do with my drawing skills you might ask?
While continuing my successful Gallery shows, I do have a handful of “artistic bucket list” Animation, Video Game and Comic Book projects in my studio. I am always looking for collaboration if a good business plan in either in order, or one can be put together based on a good idea.
